Clan Cameron is a historic West Highland Scottish clan from the Lochaber region, known for their martial prowess, loyalty, and ancestral lands including Ben Nevis, with their chief traditionally known as “Lochiel”. Their history involves fierce rivalries (like with Clan Chattan), strong support for the Jacobite cause (especially under “Gentle Lochiel”), and resilience, with their lands and castle, Achnacarry, becoming a key commando training base in WWII before being rebuilt.
